Exam Preparation
Prepare For Your Immigration Medical Exam
Know exactly what you need to bring to your immigration medical exam, and what you can expect once at our clinic.
Why Do You Need an
Immigration Physical Exam?
The Immigration Medical Exam is a crucial part of the Canadian immigration process, required by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for visa, permanent and temporary residency, or refugee status applicants. Conducted by an IRCC Accredited Panel Physician, it includes a physical exam, blood tests (creatinine, HIV and syphilis), urine tests (protein), and a chest X-ray (tuberculosis screening). The exam assesses if an applicant has a condition that could pose a public health risk or place excessive demand on Canada’s health and social services.
What’s the Exam Process?
The immigration exam needs to be conducted by an Accredited IRCC Panel Physician; It can’t be done by your own doctor. You can either get your medical exam before or after you apply for your visitor, student or worker visa. If you wish to get a medical immigration exam before submitting your application, contact us now and we will get things started right away for you.
If you wish to do your medical exam after submitting your application, the IRCC will send you instructions on how to get your immigration medical examination done, when to book your appointment, and what type of exam you need (standard medical exam or streamlined medical exam). Once you receive this information from the IRCC, book your appointment with us to start the process!
